Control Station German Research Vessels

The control station METEOR/MERIAN at the University of Hamburg organizes the operation of the research ships METEOR and Maria S. MERIAN. These ships are underway worldwide in deep sea for fundamental research. The control station is responsible for scientific, technical, logistical and financial planning, as well as the on board co-ordination. Starting 2015, the insets of the new research vessel 'Sonne' will be coordinated from Hamburg.
