Extension of MODIS Land surface albedo

We extended the MODIS Collection 6.1 land surface albedo data set based on combined Terra and Aqua reflectance measurements until including June 2025. This daily global data set comes with 0.05 degree grid resolution. For more information see:

Extension of MODIS snow cover

We extended the Terra and Aqua MODIS snow cover data sets, version 6.1, until including July 2025. These global data sets come at 0.05 degree grid resolution and daily as well as monthly temporal resolution for the period March 2000 (Terra) and July 2002 (Aqua) through July 2025. Upgrade of ESA-CCI Soil Moisture data set to v9.1

The ESA-CCI Soil Moisture Projekt team has reprocessed the entire soil moisture data set using improved methodologies and added more data. It comes at 0.25 degree grid resolution and daily temporal resolution. The updated version v9.1 is now also available at ICDC for the period November 1978 until including December 2023:

Upgrade of GLEAM evaporation parameters v4.1 to v4.2

Data of the Global Land Evaporation Amsterdam Model (GLEAM) have been updated from GLEAM version v4.1a to GLEAM version v4.2a and extended by data for the year 2024.  The period covered is 1980-01-01 through 2024-12-31 with daily and monthly temporal resolution:

The Integrated Climate Data Center (ICDC) allows easy access to climate relevant data from in-situ measurements and satellite remote sensing. These data are important to determine the status and the changes in the climate system.
