The SICSS (School of Integrated Climate System Sciences) Graduate School offers a two-year English-language Master’s program, as well as a three-year Ph.D. program in integrated climate sciences. In comparison to other programs at Universität Hamburg, the SICSS programs are characterized by an exceptionally high degree of internationalization.
The Graduate School SICSS also offers a voluntary course program, which supplements the standard curriculum by promoting core competencies and highlighting potential career paths. An individual panel of three advisors accompanies each doctoral candidate up to their oral defense. The program consists of quality assurance measures, individual career consulting in all phases of qualification (from Master to Ph.D. to postdoctoral studies), and advanced qualification measures, as well as the recruiting of and support for international doctoral candidates. The SICSS Graduate School was founded by the Cluster of Excellence CliSAP.
